POSITION: New Vehicle Sales Manager

SUMMARY: This position is the planning, evaluating, coordinating, and organizing of the new car vehicles sales department.
DUTIES:
Planning:
- Forecast long and short range goals for the sales department
- Maintain correct number of employees which provides maximum productivity including: hiring, firing, training and promoting
- Perform inventory projections which include: special packages/colors etc., projected sales and days supply, seasonal units and hot sellers and aged inventory
- Profit projections which accounts for the following: front and back end gross, advertising, bonuses and compensation, lot charges
- Set standards, procedures and policies of the sales department: QCP, standards, road to a sale and lease – “plan”
Evaluating:
- Measure the sales effort for efficiency through sales master log
- Maintain accurate records on individual productivity in the sales force in the following areas: grosses, closing ratios, QCP score, units, volume and product knowledge
- Complete annual P.D.P.’s with all employees directly reporting to this position
- Complete monthly planners with sales consultants
- Create awareness of the overall operations of the dealership and how every department must interact with one another
- Coordinate dealer trades, transfers and locates
- Coordinate lot attendant and inventory placement both on the lot and showroom
- Scheduling sales staff, lot attendants and other sales managers
Organizing:
- Set up all sales programs
- Train the sales force to continually improve and meet forecast
- Conduct sales meetings
- Setting Q.C.P. standards and procedures
- Organize and supervise off-site promotions
- Track the master log and manage accordingly
- Maintain and organize time sheets
- Responsible for closing and securing the dealership at night
- Responsible for working with other departments to maximize customer satisfaction (body shop, fast lube, etc.)
STANDARDS OF PEFORMANCE:
- QCP/Standards of 8.5% or greater
- Top performer as a sales person
- Team player in all aspects of position
